Hector Aguilar Garcia Eases into Otago Open Semi Final-Dunedin

Hector Garcia defeated Otago's Stephen Holland 6-2 6-2 to advance to the Semi Finals tomorrow.Garcia always on top made a few unforced errors off the forehand side and will no doubt sharpen this area of his game for the final rounds. Coach Stephen Dries( the eye) will no doubt be working on more constructive points for Garcia and eliminating casual errors.Dries will himself return to tournament play partnering Garcia in tomorrows Open Doubles event, and is very much short of a run.Garcia from Mexico has worked hard on his game during his stay in Timaru and is now reaping the benifits. Its a lot easier to deal with players this age as they are playing more for themselves. Its been a tough 3 week period for "the eye" from dealing with younger players and then older juniors in the ITFS and Open events, one thing to note that most of the players become independent as they get older and parents support in the background, its a fact that most coaches have little trouble dealing with the kids who are actually playing the game on court...........most of the trouble for coaches come from parents who are playing the game off court.
