Follow Wimbledon News Here

Just Days away is the Biggest Grandslam of the year.As with the French I will have Daily updates and views pics and opinions over the tournament. Also a contest so more about that soon.Wimbledon has actually started!.... qualifying events that is.Its not played at Wimbledon its held only a few miles from the All England Club, it is a far cry from The Championships. Spectators come to Bank of England Sports Ground in Roehampton, armed with their own garden chairs and picnics, to while away a summer’s afternoon watching quality tennis, without the crowds of next week’s main draw tournament.Entry is free so If you don't want the hassle and expense of getting tickets then its a great way to watch quality tennis. There are some big names playing .Both Marina Erakovic and Jelana Dokic have failed to come through qualifying and will not be competing in the Main Singles Draw.Taylor Dent is also the top seed for the Men's Qualifying he's trying to adapt a traditional Grass court game to the modern Game on grass. The last round is played overnight Nz time and winners will go through to the Main Draw.Men's matches for the final round are best of 5 sets unlike the earlier rounds which are best of three. An ex world number 1 is trying a Martina Navratalova comeback.

Austria's former world number one Thomas Muster is bidding to return to tennis's elite circuit -- 11 years after he last played a professional match.

Muster, 42, won the French Open in 1995 and held the number one ranking in February 1996. Despite not having played on the ATP circuit since 1999 he claims he has never officially retired.

The Austrian is set to compete in a challenger tournament, which is regarded as tennis's second division, in Brunswick, Germany next week, organisers announced Wednesday.

Muster is set to play in the men's singles and doubles, and said he has a simple explanation for his absence from the courts.

He said: "At the time all I said was I was going on holiday, so now I'm back from my holiday."

Good Luck Thomas you will need it!!!!!!
